5) Lizard People.

I always found this one interesting, while I don’t believe in it myself. I think it’s just a fun one to ponder with friends within reason. And it helped inspire one of my favourite Marvel comic arcs… The Skrulls. Marvel’s Secret Invasion.

4) The Mothman.

While I never noticed anyone confirmed the Mothman actually harming anyone… It is creepy. We dive into it a bit more on the podcast.

3) Sasquatch

Sasquatch, a large, hairy, humanlike creature believed by some people to exist in the northwestern United States and western Canada… I think this guy is out in the Rocky Mountains if he does exist. Plus I mean the guy loves a Kokanee.. I can get down with that.

2) The Ogopogo

Come on! It’s the Canadian Lochness Monster. Something about swimming in a lake not knowing if a monster lurks beneath you? That’s terrifying! I believe it also inspired one of my favourite X Files episodes everrrrr! ‘Quagmire’ check it out.

1) The Jersey Devil

“The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature from folklore that originates in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey. Descriptions of the Jersey Devil vary, but it is commonly depicted as a bipedal, winged creature with hooves, a horse or goat-like head, leathery bat-like wings, small arms with clawed hands, and a forked tail. It is said to move quickly, emit a high-pitched scream, and has been blamed for various livestock killings and other strange occurrences.” And it’s how the hockey team got their name… Which is just wild! I often wonder how many people think the New Jersey Devils are named after… well.. you know.
