There is a picture circulating the internet that shows what happens when you grow old.

It has nothing to do with the colour of your hair changing, going bald, or potentially even getting a little flabby.

Your ears continue to grow.

I have pretty big ears, always have. I never did fully grow in to them, so by the time I reach 81, if I make it that long, I can only imagine how big my ears will be. If I could find a side profile picture from even 20 years ago I would compare them for you, but I can’t. If I do, I’ll be sure to share it.

Like I mentioned, there is science behind it. One study discovered that ears grow, on average, 0.22mm a year. So that means in 81 years, which is how old DeNiro is, his ears would have grown 17.82mm, or 1.782cm. Now that may not seem like a lot when measuring, but when it comes to ears, it’s a lot!
