Leading into yesterdays Grey Cup I would have said the Winnipeg Blue Bombers had it hook, line, and sinker. They were facing a team without their starting quarterback. (A quarterback I may actually despise more than any Bomber btw. But I digress.). But, they choked. Hard!

Leading up to half time it was like the Bombers just couldn’t get it started. I figured they’d shake out the cobwebs at halftime while we all indulged in the glory of the Jonas Brothers. That must not have happened. It was turnover city. Leading to what ended up being a blowout loss.

So clearly, I’m a Rider fan. We have a history with the Bombers. And also, not a good one this season. Losing when it counts against the blue and gold. But that being said…suck it long and suck it hard Bomber fans. I can’t think of a fan base that deserves a loss more than you.

To throw around “dynasty” so casually has been a joke. A dynasty implies that you win multiple championships in a short amount of time. Your chance at a dynasty came in 2022. A potential third in a row. Didn’t happen. Hell, a win last year would have still put you in dynasty status. But to say a win this year would have been a dynasty is laughable. I’m so happy we can put that to rest.

Now, it’s true. The Riders haven’t been in a Grey Cup since 2013. The Bombers also kicked our ass all season. However…..FART SOUND! You lost your 3rd Grey Cup in a row. 3! In a row! To a backup quarterback! In front of the Jonas Brothers. Nick, Joe, and the other one are all laughing at you!!!

Now before you get all “Rider fans are worse than Bomber fans” (because I know you will), just know that I’m proud of you for making it this far into this blog. It must have taken you hours to read this far. Sounding it out letter by letter. You’re doing great big guy. Keep it up.
